I haven't been keeping up with gaming lately. People know this, because mostly I play Spider Solitaire right now. However, there was a game mentioned a few years back on this blog. I thought I'd heard the last. But apparently, the former Soviet republic-based studio knows EXACTLY how Westerners think: At about three seconds in, I lost my train of thought. They need their own world. They are certainly not welcome in World of Warcraft, let alone City of Heroes. Labels: Gaming

Look about five buttons down. Press it. CLUNK! Now, what do you feel about a video game delving into politics like that? Mortal Kombat, full of liberals? It can't be! That's impossible! But why so? You knew all the media were liberal anyway--even the interactive media. (From Larke and Kotaku.com.)

Thanks for blowing your nose all over my wings, Andy. Why don't you get a girlfriend? Felicia can help, but remember: she's all Eags's, baby. (From Kotaku.) Labels: Beyond Nerdiness, Gaming

Here. Play a game. Learn something. (Link from avid reader, Pacman, who is out of the country for this campaign muddle. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is up to whether you like gigantic street parties in Chicago involving bonfires and overturned cars.)

Here are the results of an Xbox Live poll: Obama/Biden - 43 percent McCain/Palin - 31 percent Undecided - 13 percent Other - 13 percent The polls never lie, either. However, the most common write-in candidate was not Ron Paul as popularly expected: it was "Screw You and Your Freakin' Commercials, Bill Gates!" All were sent by Michael Richards, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss, and Jason Alexander of former Seinfeld fame.

No God/Darwin game review today? No Origin of Species jokes today? Blame it on the EA Store. Apparently, my Spore hasn't been shipped yet, even though they are in stock and are already released. Instead, we'll have to settle for playing Warcraft 3. Again and again. I'm really getting spectacularly good at losing to the Computer on Easy these days, much more so that four years ago when people still played it. Labels: Gaming

Red Alert 3 excited me. Now, I am giddy: Tim Curry, Evil Sulu, the Editor-in-Chief of Daily Bugle FTW in FMV... jeez, they deserve an IMDB page. (From Larke, my gaming informant.) Labels: Gaming
Another game with the word "WAR" in the title is coming out! Or, at least its trailer! (Sent by Larke.) Labels: Gaming

We knew it was coming. We always knew. Even as Tyrael blasted the Worldstone at Arreat to pieces, hoping to end the threat to the world, we knew. Plus, a guy from Blizzard told me a riddle. I solved it. Diablo 3! Labels: Gaming

It's heating up in Spore already! The inappropriateness, I mean! Labels: Gaming
What I learned from this is that, (1) Spore might eat my life the moment my computer starts behaving and runs it, and (2) that social scientists deserve our care and respect for their dignified theories. Labels: Gaming
