Why America's House of Lords seems to tilt to the left by Michael Barone

Yes, conservative guy, I know. I won't waste my time or your time bleeding my heart on him. Because that would just be opinion, facts would lead either place.

But there is an intriguing claim made by this man. The jist of the article is that the Supreme Court over becoming too liberal. Yes, it's made liberal decisions in the past. It's made abortion's legalization mandatory (his best, and only, good example).

But he missteps. He uses as an example of liberality... "racial segregation". Apparently, Brown v. Board of Education does not find this man rejoicing. It finds him arguing that the Supreme Court uses its power too much, to stop states from putting little black children in seperate schools from their little white children.

In my opinion, "racial segregation" is not liberal. It's Goddamned unconstitutional, unlawful, un-American, undemocratic, inhumane, and OMG IT'S THE KKK!!! Michael Barone, welcome to Eaglie's White-Hooded List.

Eaglie is back, from Washington. Yes, I went to DC with my family, and I woke up Thursday morning to find out London was hit by terrorist bombs.

I know my great grandfather (Irish Catholic) would hate me for saying this, but the British are a good people. Always cheerful (or respectful), and never sullen.

My mom told me a story that when she visited the British Isles years ago, she couldn't find a place to stay in London. She walked the streets in the typical London weather (bad), looking glum. But a voice shouted to her, "Cheer up, miss, it'll get better!" And it was a man sitting in the street on crutches, a man who'd lost his leg during a Luftwaffe blitz on London.

This could not have happened to a less-deserving people.

Eaglie, Crusader of Happiness, has returned fully to his roost. I will continue fighting for the ideals of Happiness and Freedom for all avian and elfin creatures, along with limited rights for simians. I hope to see more people reading this, and I will try to post at least an interesting link every day, except for vacation days, like tomorrow through July 11th (sigh).

So rejoice. The Hero, thought dead, has returned from the dead. But not really, 'cause I am dead, but kind of alive. I died, and I returned. Actually I'm undead. But that doesn't mean to stop partying hardcore, just to not splash me with the holy water from the blessed punch bowl. Seriously, guys.

Today's the day we're less careful with fireworks as we all strive to finish off our arsenals without abandon or regard to safety.

Even judges horrified by ugly dog from the Chicago Sun-Times

Yes, it's horrendous, and it's in today's paper. I found a picture.

Sam the Chinese Crested Dog

It looks like pure evil.
