After Google's purchase of YouTube (Who saw it coming?), people are scrambling to watch and rip YouTube videos before the anticipated Google crackdown on copyrighted music, TV, and movie clips.

In other news, the sky is falling.

Comments:

Isn't that like 80 percent of all YouTube's video files? I know I don't go on YouTube to watch a fat guy jump a car on a bike.

I couldn't find a car version. Sorry.

In all truth though, I don't think all that much is going to happen. Apparently, YouTube will remain separate from Google Video. The other fact that makes me not all that scared is that a lot of major copyrighted material was already knocked out by YouTube before the buyout. YouTube hasn't been as relaxed as some people think about it.

From what I've read, Google is thinking of implementing more advertisements on youtube either before the video or on the site in general.

P.S. YouTube is a good source of anime. :-b

They don't take off everything, but they've taken off a lot of copyrighted material, such as a crapload of South Park episodes.

please tell me that those awful utube video blogs will be taken down. *crosses fingers*
