Here we go with a new segment on Eaglie's Aviary:
When there is trouble, he is there. When the helpless need help, he is there. When technology rides your ass holding a flaming hot poker, don't worry, he's there. He is: 
Prepared to face anything. Ep. 00110001: The Old CD-ROM "Oh no! The CD-ROM drive looks busted! It won't open! Nothing will work! Will no one save us?!" Andy the Tech Guy then swoops in. He lends Eaglie a helping hand to fix the CD-ROM drive. 
Andy gives the drive a whirl. "There seems to be a problem with the drive opening. It keeps making this 'splurt' noise, like a small rodent just got ground up in there. That could pose a problem." "Yes, well, just fix it. I need to do some blog updating. It's been a while." "I don't know what I can do except... well... 'technician-ey' stuff." A few minutes later... 
The greatest friend of any computer technician is an unraveled paperclip. "We shall see." 
Andy jimmies the drive a bit. An hour of poking later... 
The drive comes open! Andy has opened the drive successfully! 
Andy heroically yawps, informing all within a one-block radius he is successful So Andy saves the day. Nevermind that the drive now requires paperclip opening everytime it's used and that it can't read CDs anymore. Andy has done something right! Victory!
